Dr. Bowen attended Valparaiso University for his undergraduate studies as an individualized pre-dental major with a focus on chemistry and went on to receive his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2015.
Following dental school, Dr. Bowen provided dental care to the underserved population of the central Michigan area for 5 years, which he described as one of the most rewarding experiences of his career. While they loved northern Michigan, Dr. Bowen and his wife, Monica, moved to the west side to be closer to family, friends, and the water.
When he is not in the office you can find him on the golf links, ski slopes, ice rink, or at the beach. Both he and his wife love the community and culture of the Muskegon area and look forward to calling it home.

A native of Muskegon Michigan. Dr. Tom received his Bachelor of General Studies degree from the University of Michigan, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (D.D.S.) from the University of Michigan in 1988. He attends numerous continuing education courses and is a past President of the Muskegon District Dental Society. He has also enjoyed the opportunity to study at the Dawson Academy, a world famous education facility in St. Petersburg, Florida
Dr. Tom and his wife Jamie have been blessed with four beautiful children, Kyle, Lauren, Morgan and Meredith, and are very involved with each of their activities. In his spare time, Dr. Tom enjoys the game of golf, being with his family and traveling.

"Like a lot of people I don't go to the doctor unless I'm sick, so for the dentist I wasn't doing regular visits and low and behold ended up with cavities. Dr. Tom was super nice and professional, no one in the office made me feel bad about my teeth, they just immediately moved on to the treatment steps. Got my cavities filled and all the jaw pain I had for months was gone by the time the numbing wore off. Super grateful for Dr. Tom and his wonderful staff. Also liked how modern their office was, I didn't realize how old school my old dentist was until I came here - the up to date technology made a big difference."
